Taipei Itenary 6D5N ~ Winter Season Jan 2011

The weather at Taipei on this 2011 year winter season was unexpected cold and wet. It's almost rain for whole week in straight when we arrived. Average temperature is 8 to 11 Celsius. Makes most of the plan delay and have to call off due to weather. I will put our initial plan itenary for your references (if you need it). FYI, itenary only covers Taipei not other Taiwan region. Hope is useful to anyone who plan for Free & Easy trip.

We took the morning flight 9:50am from LCCT to Taipei Tao Yuan International Airport. I would encourage traveller to have pre-book meal as it is cheaper in addition, they come with complimentary drink. We arrived around 2:40pm. Since we already made online booking on the Taipei Homestay. They provides service for pickup from airport to homestay but we need to pay NTD1000 cos is third party business.

Itenary shown as below, the shop mostly start business 11am and if bad weather some shop will close. But for night market, of cos it will follow night market business hour until 10pm. Certain places will be extend till midnight.

Day 1 西門町
Homestay check-in at Ximen Ding 西門町 - Ay Chong Flour Rice Noodle 阿宗麵綫- Ximen Ding Night Market 西門町夜市- Duck Meat with Rice noodle 鴨肉扁 - Lung Shan Temple 龍山寺 - Hwahsi Night Market (next to Lung Shan Temple)

Day 2
Option a - for those who like shopping
Breakfast at XimenDing - Elephant Mountain Hiking & Scenic View Shooting 象山 - Wufen Pu 五份鋪 (close quite early therefore makesure go b4 evening) -  Taipei 101 (watch the Taipei night view)- Shida Night market 師大路夜市- C.K.S Memorial Hall 国立中正纪念堂 (for night view shooting b4 10pm)

Option b- for those who like photoshooting
Breakfast at XimenDing - Elephant Mountain Hiking & Scenic View Shooting 象山 - 囯父紀念館 (nothing much, almost similar with CKS Memorial) -  C.K.S Memorial Hall 国立中正纪念堂 - Taipei 101 - Shida Night market 師大路夜市

Day 3 Flora Expo 2010 - 花博
Take away Breakfast 飯糰 at 西門町- 故宮博物院- Flora Expo花博 - Shilin Night Market 士林夜市

Day 4 (1 day car transport NTD5000)
Take away McD Pork Burger at 西門町- Bitou Cape (鼻頭角) - Yeliu Geopark 野柳地質石園 - Golden waterfall 金瓜石黃金瀑布- Gold Ecological Park 金瓜石黃金博物館, 金瓜石太子賓館, 金瓜石黃金神社 -  Jiufen 九份老街, 九份基山街 -  Sky Lantern Festival @ Pingxi 孔明燈，平溪 - keelung NM 基隆夜市

Day 5 
Brunch at Din Tai Fung - Bali 八里 (cycling along the river to Muzeum，evening view & tea time @ Maison de Macaron with the French way dessert cakes!! Yummy) twin bread 雙胞胎 & 杏仁豬紙片 - fisherman wharf 漁人碼頭 - Dan Shuei 淡水 (鉄蛋， 阿給） - Beitou 北投 (hot spring)

Day 6
breakfast around Ximen Ding (shop open around 11am) - Ximen Red House 西門紅舘 - last minutes shopping @ XimenDing - Pack & prepare back to Kuala Lumpur for 3:55pm flight. (No web checkin kiosk have to queue early at counter)
