Kelantan Trip - Day 3 Part I

We gonna leave and back to Penang. Therefore, we wokeup early at 8am and go for photo hunt. Wouldn't want to miss out the very last day. =P

Along the way, I saw another special thing on the road side. Guess what, is a big 'Wau' (Kite in Malay). Too bad that not able to go for the making of Wau workshop. Should explore how it produce. Perhaps re-visit next year. =P

Then we continue and arrived at the Kelantan biggest historical mosque,  Independence Field, The Grand Palace, Craft Village, Bank Pitis and Jahar Palace.

All this historical places have an explanation stone. Is really working and can remember/ memorize easily on all the history. I think the education party should have such thought or plan to bring the student all over the historical places and let them have a look on the real places and  understand how the history will play back. I think it would be much more effective in memorizing those boring think History text book. I confess that I almost fail my History during my Secondary school exam. Cos...it is indeed very boring and looking at the color picture text doesn't really helping me in motivating or triggering my memory! =p

the view of Independence Field
Independence Field (Padang Merdeka) - this is the place where Tok Janggut Pahlawan Kelantan was hung upside down on 1915. This also the place where the declaration of country's independence from British was made on 1957.

In front of The Grand Palace, spot there's an awareness signboard. Can't believe nowaday peoples are full of gut to do any crime. Even in front of the palace!? Wow!

Kelantan Trip - Day 2 Part II

Next, we headed to another place, a GuanYin statue built facing the sea. Is call the Southern Sea Guan Yin 南海观音. This is privatize and not open for open to view as is self built personally by the house owner.

co-incident it was sunset time.

took the opportunity to do my Bogeh on my Panasonic FZ-28 :P Quite like it :)

The wave was horrible! So high as is monsoon season, but the kid still daring standing infront of the sea. Freak me out! =S as the water is in yellowish and not clear. According to my friend normally is clear water for this beach for the off monsoon season.

The cloud just nice with the tall coconut tree. This place look just like the 'Woo-Hoo' Malaysian made Chinese movie.

Kelantan Trip - Day 2 Part I

On 6th Nov (Sat), my friend have decided to go for another "Wat" (temple) which also an attraction in Kelantan. Two cars going, while waiting, I saw Istana Kelantan's (Kelantan's Palace) where the state King stay with the named on gate "Istana Telipot". I think the King here lives quite humble, I don't understand why is given in this name. The 2 guards standing very still without any much face expression. So serious!

While travelling on the way to the temple, I saw a Tesco hypermarket on the road side. But the thing that attracted me is, additionally, they will added Jawi letter on it. Which you won't find it at Kuala Lumpur city! Almost all shop big and small have that Jawi word on their billboard or signboard! Wow! Made me felt I was in a different world! Btw, the state is declare as Majlis Perbandaran Islam. Meaning is a Islamic State!

is raining but do u spot the jawi word next to TESCO sign? =p

Finally we arrived the destination. The rain stop. Good sign for us cos we wanted to take nice photo of the big temple. The statue is huge and tall. This temple also named in Thai, called the "Wat Phothikyan Phut Thak Tham", in English is called the Twin Dragon.

There's a big old gigantic tree, hanging with all the colorful strip tie on a candle. Make me recall on those drama I like to watch from TVB HK. In order to make a wish come true, throw the candle and let it hook on the tree! Can't recall the drama title but as I remembered, the wishes the actress made was to meet her right man and then the ending was good as she get and found the right man and lives happily ever after. The end! =p

too bad I wasn't able to get a candle and hook my wish on this big tree. Cos I also dunno how to do it and didn't manage to ask the monk.since I busy do shooting =p hahaha!

the wish tree

weird, suddenly saw T-Rex at the temple! hahaha!

Can't really believe that in a muslim state there's such a nice temple built! Is really unbelievable!

Kelantan Trip - Day 1 Part III

After visited the 1st small wat, moving forward to 2nd round food :P This is big temple, as there's also buses with few tour group. Therefore, I can say this is a tourism attraction. Is called Wat Machimmaram.

Took quite a numbers of photo but it was raining therefore, the surrounding was wet..

Happy Princ3ssAngi3

wah! Birdnest for the monk? walaoyeh!

even got the wax sculptor of this famous monk. I wasn't able to get his name.. too bad

many people kneel down just to let this famous monk hit their head. :P Hahaha! Nola, actually is blessing

Then the 2nd round food also quite nice, we have the cincau herbal drink, also pork and the thai mix malay food.
eventually the vege & ala-carte oledy covered the main dish. Underneath are rice cook with vege juice, called the Green rice. Very healthy food. The pork meatball is the best!

After this our last destination was the Sleeping Buddha. Is Thai term called, Wat Photivihan.

posing my little honey =p

Take #2 ^_^ like the licking

this painted very nice

dunno why only got the head but not body under the big tree

think this Sleeping buddha is bigger than Penang 1 ler, but too bad, behind the buddha is bit dirty and nobody maintain it...

Kelantan Trip - Day 1 Part II

Upon arriving, we fetch my friend parent to visit the Siam festive, is a 3 days celebration to the god. They will have people donate money for the food, and the temple is open for public, monks are available to bless those to be bless. So, we just follow her parent for the first station free lunch. >_<

Since Kota Bahru is quite near to Thailand, therefore, there's many "Wat" build and the you will noticed the chinese there looks like Thai, they have darker skin tone and they speak Siam Hokkien. Is a kind of dialect for the Hokkien but they mix with Thai dialect too which I found is hard for me to understand :p

In front of the temple, also have some small hawker stall selling food such as hotdog, pandan coconut waffle, soft drink and jewelry.

they are blending the flour with the coconut flakes and the pandan juice

BBQ with charcoal? hahaha! RM1 for 7 sticks

while waiting, I took a snapshot of my cutie - Yaya

the peek-a-pooh from the carrier =P she is so cute =) love her so much!

Then after they pray, we walk into a hall where food is served. As for their culture, those who wanted to donate will have to put their money with the flower tree.

the buffet style food ...not vegetarian, got Pork! :P kekeke!

But ofcos, it is open for public. Foods are keep refilling for the public. A lot of variety too, some are more to Thai food and some are the combination of the Malay food.
